HKIS is an international school in every way and we have an open policy to students and families of all cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.

Our continued success and the high demand for school-places means that it is not always possible to accept all applications. Consequently admissions are based upon certain priorities and enrollment requirements.

Admissions Priority Entry Requirements Special Needs

Our admissions priority system is based on the following considerations:

Contractual requirements of the HKIS debenture program. Students from American curriculum schools, within and outside the United States, on the principle that HKIS's mission is to provide, among other things, an American-style education. Siblings of current students and children of HKIS alumni are also given priority. All other students based on qualitative criteria to help determine the match between a particular student's needs and potential and HKIS's resources and capabilities.

Hong Kong International School Association Limited admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of gender or race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
